Organizing Authority
The organizing authority is the International Soling Class (ISA) in conjunction with the Austrian Sailing Federation (ÖSV) and the Union Yacht Club Wolfgangsee (UYC Wg).

1. Rules
1.1. The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2. The prescriptions of the Austrian National Authority will not apply.
1.2. The ISA Class and Championship Rules will apply.
1.3. The following racing rules will be changed: 28.1, 32, 35, 42.3(c), 60.1(a), 61.3, 62.2, A4.1, A4.2 and Race Signals AP and S. The changes will appear in full in the Sailing Instructions. The Sailing Instructions may also change other racing rules.
1.4. Amendments to any of the rules applying to the regatta must be approved and signed by the ISA Liaison Officer appointed for the event.

2. Advertising category
The regatta is designated Category C under ISAF Regulation 20.

3. Eligibility and entry
3.1. The regatta is open to all yachts of the International Soling Class as prescribed in Championship Rule 4 – Eligibility.
3.1.1. Masters WC
The Masters World Championship is open to all yachts of the International Soling
Class of which:
- the helm must be aged at least 50 years on the first scheduled day of racing
- the aggregate ages of the crew of three must be at least 120 years on that day
3.1.2. Austrian Nationals & Denzel-Cup
are open to all yachts of the International Soling Class. Eligibility without any
limitation of age of competitors. It is possible to sail with a crew of 3 or 2 persons.
3.2. All registered helms of Austrian nationality shall present the sailing licence 'A' of the Austrian Sailing Federation when registering.
3.3. ISA Membership is obligatory for all crew members. Membership fees will be collected
from any crew member failing to present proof of previously paid membership fee.
3.4. It is also required that all yachts entering display the ISA sticker of the current year. An additional amount will be collected from the helmsman or representative of any yacht not displaying the ISA sticker of the current year at the appropriate position.
3.5. All eligible boats may enter by completing the entry forms on the event website
www.soling.com/masters/2009 not later than July 7th, 2009 and completing registration and payment of all fees.

4. Classification
The ISAF Sailor Classification Code will apply.

5. Fees
The entry fee for all participants will be € 200,- in addition for Masters entries competing at the World Masters an additional 35,- UK pounds is payable (the ISA Championship fee for the Masters World Championship) and may be paid by credit transfer to following account:IBAN: AT05 3505 6000 0001 4977, BIC: RVSAAT2S056 (account nr. 14977 at Raika St. Gilgen) or by cash in € at registration. The entry fee includes craning in the club, mooring and the social events of the regatta.

6. Registration
The Race Office at the Union Yacht Club Wolfgangsee will be open for registration on July 15th, 2009 from 9.00 to 17.00 and July 16th, 2009 from 8.00 to 11.00.

7. Schedule
7.1. Measurement and inspection will take place at Union Yacht Club Wolfgangsee in St. Gilgen/Austria on July 15th, 2009 from 12.00 to 18.00 and July 16th, 2009 from 8.00 to 10.30. Not measured sails will not be accepted.
7.2. Opening Ceremony will take place on July 16th, 2009 at 11.00 Skippers meeting will be held on July 16th, 2009 at 12.00
7.3. Racing is scheduled as follows:
July 16th – Races 1 & 2
July 17th – Races 3 & 4
July 18th – Races 5 & 6
July 19th – Races 7 & 8
7.3. The first Warning Signal will be on July 16th at 13.00
7.4. On the last day of the regatta no warning signal will be made after 16.30.

8. Measurement
Yachts will be measured in accordance with ISA Championship Rule 7.0 Measuring and Class Rules 16 and 17. For a yacht to be eligible to race, her valid (the original or copy of original) Measurement Form shall be presented at the Race office, and the helmsman must have satisfied all measurement and registration requirements as specified in the Notice of Race including the submission (at the completion of measurement) of properly completed measurement work sheets. If the Measurement Form cannot be produced before the first race, RRS 78.2 will be applied.

9. Sailing Instructions
Sailing instructions will be available at registration.

10. Course Area
A Chart showing the course area is attached to the sailing instructions.

11. Courses
Standard ISA Championship courses will be used.

12. Penalty System
The two – turns penalty, rule 44.2 RRS, will apply.

13. Scoring
13.1. The Low Point Scoring System of appendix A4 RRS will apply.
13.2. a) For the Masters WC and the Austrian Nationals 8 races are scheduled of which 5 races must be completed to constitute a valid championship
b) For the Denzelcup 5 races are scheduled of which 3 races must be completed to constitute a valid series. This series will be the first 5 races of the Masters series.
13.3. a) For the Masters WC and the Austrian Nationals:
i) When fewer than 6 races have been completed, a boat's series score will be the total of her race scores.
ii) When 6 or more races have been been completed, a boat's series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
b) For the Denzelcup:
i) A boat's series score will be the total of her race scores.

14. Prizes
- World Master Perpetual Trophy donated by the International Soling Association (ISA)
- Austrian National Championship-Title to the best Austrian crew (ÖSV).
- Trophy for the Denzel-Cup.
- There will be prizes to the best six teams overall of the Masters Worlds and the Austrian National Championship.

15. Disclaimer of liability
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4 RRS 'Decision to race'. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.

16. Insurance
Each participating yacht shall be insured with valid and adequate third-party liability
insurance cover while racing of not less than € 1.000.000,- for the duration of the regatta.

17. Media and Rights Waiver
By entering this regatta, the owner or charterer and all crew members on competing yachts grant at no cost the absolute right and permission to use their names, voices, images, likenesses and biographical material, as well as representations of their yacht in any media (including television, photo, print and internet), to the Organizing Committee.

18. Advertising
Competing yachts may be required to display advertising material provided by the Organizing Committee.

19. Support boats
No support boats are allowed.

20. Social Events
Will be organized by the Union Yacht Club Wolfgangsee.

21. Accomodation
The village of St. Gilgen is situated on lake Wolfgangsee (30 km near Salzburg) and is a holiday resort with accomodation possibilities in all price classes. Please book your accomodation at the Wolfgangsee tourism company in St. Gilgen:

There is no possibility to place tents in the club area. The next camping area is situated 3 km away from the club. Camping-mobiles are allowed in the parking-area of the club (fee of € 7, per day).
