It was a light wind condition, and PRO Steve Reid managed to get only one race. Light winds, with 40 degrees shifting and up and downs in holes thru the course made it quite difficult to sail. The thermal breeze was struggling to beat the Northwest breeze from land, and the result was just flat water.
www.milestonelife.com / Gull team Can 230 with Fogh, Cheer and Devries although a third in the race kept their overall first position but only for 3 points difference in between the Brazilian team BRA 73 with Nehm, Ribeiro and Albrecht who finished second at the race, the big gain was for CAN 1 team with Abbott, Davis and Abbott who won the race and climbed from a 5th into a third overall in a tie with the Brazilians in 18pts, but only 1 point away from team Marinepool GER 300 with Koch, Koch, Bornemann and CAN 225 Hall, Kerrigan and Flinn both with 19 pts.
Sunday the start signal is scheduled for 1000 am and PRO will try to get two more races before the limit time is over. Another light air condition is expected but at least summer is showing their last strength in Lake Ontario before fall comes down and winter touch is feldt.
Tonight the Event dinner at the EYC will start at 1900hs and before the International Soling Class will hold the Members’ meetings, where probably more input will be extracted for the annual meetings to be held on Monday.
