| The 2009 Soling World Championship measurement has formally finished, with some details to be solved like the Brazilian sails who are still in a bag somewhere in between Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
The opening ceremony was held this Tuesday at the EYC where club commodore Gord Hines hosted the regatta chair Paul Bryan the Race Officer Steve Reid and the key note speaker of the night Paul Henderson the former ISAF president, Canadian and International Olympic Committee member who pronounced nice welcome to all sailors. The note of the day was the late mention from Paul when he “suddenly” emotionally remember that about 60 years ago he raced against Stuart Walker another of the night speakers, but he could not miss it…”and I beat you“.
After that a traditional BBQ from the Yacht club was available for all sailors
